New York Times Bestselling Author, Peloton Instructor, Nike Athlete and Motivational Speaker, Tunde Oyeneyin, has quickly become a household name, developing a global audience who have been moved by her mission to inspire and create great change.

In May of 2022, Tunde released her debut memoir-manifesto-guide to life Speak: Find Your Voice, Trust Your Gut, and Get From Where You Are to Where You Want To Be (Avid Reader Press/Simon & Schuster), an empowering look into how she faced adversity and transformed grief and setbacks into growth, self-confidence and triumph. Speak instantly became a New York Time’s Best Selling Book in the Advice/How-To category and was named one of Amazon’s Best Books of 2022 in both the Nonfiction and Business & Leadership categories as well as one of Audible’s Best Books of 2022 in the Well-Being category. Tunde ultimately accepted the Award for Creative Person of the Year by the Society for Africans in Diaspora (SAID INSTITUTE), recognizing her as a catalyst in the lives of many, helping empower the next generation Africans. Tunde also set out on her sold out nationwide book tour titled “Speak: A Soul-Care Event” with special guests Mel Robbins, Emmanuel Acho, Scott Evans, Cody Rigsby and Robin Arzón.

Tunde is a Texas native of Nigerian descent. Growing up, she struggled with her own body image and self-esteem, noting it took many years and hard work to finally get to a healthy place physically and mentally. Fitness offered Tunde a greater form of self-love, and she eventually realized it was her true calling to motivate people to join her in becoming the best version of themselves. In 2015, Tunde took her first indoor cycling class. From the dimmed lights to the beats of the music, she escaped to another world and at that moment knew indoor cycling had forever changed her life. She trusted her gut, took a leap of faith, and walked away from a lucrative 15-year-career as a professional makeup artist and brand educator for some of the most coveted beauty brands in the world, to become a cycling instructor in Los Angeles. She has been cycling ever since and in 2019, landed a prestigious role at Peloton Studios in New York City.

Tunde rose to fame on Peloton’s platform as her dedicated fan base would clip into their bikes and listen to words of encouragement and “Tunde-isms,” while pushing themselves to their limits both on and off the bike. From addressing human rights and racial injustice, to advocating the importance of “Soul Care,” Tunde’s rides quickly became among the most sought-after classes. In the wake of George Floyd’s murder, Tunde helmed the “Speak Up Ride” on June 3rd, 2020 to promote change and remind people of their power and freedom to find their voices and speak up. Over 20,000 riders tuned in live, the equivalent of filling Madison Square Garden in New York City. With access to Peloton’s nearly seven million members, Tunde’s fanbase, self-named “Team Tunde,” come to class motivated to achieve their wildest dreams.

Tunde is the Founder of S.P.E.A.K. – an Instagram Live series highlighting stories and voices of those who have thrived and shown resilience in the face of adversity. S.P.E.A.K. Tunde is also a leader in Facebook’s “We The Culture” program, elevating Black voices.

In March 2022, she added podcast host to her resume with Peloton’s debut podcast, “Peloton Presents: Fitness Flipped” which debuted at number one in Health & Fitness on the Apple Podcast charts. In Fitness Flipped, Tunde chatted with special guests on topics centered around fitness, wellness and mental health. Guests include Comedian Phoebe Robinson, Actor Sterling K. Brown, Olympian Allyson Felix, Paralympian Scout Bassett, TV Personality Desus Nice and various Peloton instructors.

Today, Tunde is emerging as one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the country, quickly becoming known for her ability to command a room with her unparalleled energy and empower audiences to discover newfound hope. Tunde became the first fitness instructor to ever be named a Nike Athlete. As part of her work with Nike, she will share her unique story of personal development and growth (in fitness and in life) while working to make fitness more accessible and inclusive for young girls and women around the world.
